Important Updates Concerning Operations of the Parish
Fr. Scott Bailey
Updated May 7th
Limited public masses – Due to attendance restrictions at this time, households must sign-up to attend Mass. The link to the sign-up form is on this website’s homepage. For those who cannot attend in person, video of the weekend Mass continues to be available on the parish website beginning at 5:00pm on Saturdays.
What should we do on Sundays, when we cannot attend Mass? Make the day holy. Use it well by spending some time in prayer, especially with Scripture. You can set aside some quiet time to read and reflect on the readings from Mass ( Daily Readings). I encourage you to make a prayer of spiritual communion, since you will be unable to receive the Lord in the Eucharist. The Lord can fill your heart in a powerful way when you invite him in with faith! There is a simple prayer for spiritual communion HERE. The archdiocese website also has links so that you can watch Mass online and utilize Magnificat online for free.
Penance & Anointing of the Sick – Confessions are available in the Parish Hall at our normally scheduled times. Masks must be worn by all who come to confession. Our priests continue to offer the anointing of the sick for those who are in danger of death.
Church and Adoration chapel- You are welcome to pray before the Tabernacle in the chapel or in the church. The church is opened daily at 8:00am. For your safety, we sanitize the church daily.
The parish office is closed to the public until further notice – Our staff is working but the doors are closed. If it is necessary for you to meet with an employee in person, you must schedule an appointment. You can find contact information for our employees on our staff page under the “about” tab.
Flocknote– Flocknote is the best way to stay updated about what is happening at Risen Christ. Sign up for Flocknote HERE.
Social media – You can connect with us and follow us on Facebook HERE and now on Instagram HERE. We regularly post things that are inspirational and informational, which you can share with your friends.
Resources from the Diocese – The Archdiocese of Denver has created a webpage dedicated to Coronavirus prevention and resources. That can be found HERE. For information about the reopening of public Masses, go here – https://denvercatholic.org/
