Funeral Planning

“Death is swallowed up in victory.
Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?

But thanks be to God who gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

-1 Corinthians 15:55, 57

One of the hardest things we can experience is losing a loved one. We are sorry for your loss, and we would like to do what we can to help support you during this time.

Through Baptism, Catholics begin their faith journey with the belief that death is not the end nor does it break the bonds forged in life.  Since the Mass is the central source and summit of our faith, Catholic funerals are not very different from a Sunday Mass and include introductory rites, liturgy of the Word, liturgy of the Eucharist, and the final commendation.  Funeral Masses are normally held at 9:30am Monday mornings, and at 10:00am Tuesday through Thursday mornings.

You might also want to consider a vigil service with rosary the night prior to the funeral.
