Women of Risen Christ

All women of the parish are invited to participate in this organization, whose focus is Spirituality and Service to the parish. Meetings are quarterly, on a Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the parish hall, followed by a presentation.  Click on the button to visit our webpage.

Knights of Columbus

KofC Council 13301, Our Lady of the Luminous Mysteries, supports Risen Christ Catholic Parish and the surrounding community based upon core principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

These principles are at the center of the Integrity, Professionalism, Excellence, and Respect exhibited in all they do.

They are committed to serving Risen Christ Catholic Parish, families, and the community through acts of faith and service, with a particular focus on helping those in need.

Respect Life Ministry

There are many beautiful events coming up that give us a chance to defend life and offer help to those in need ~

Friday September 18th: Holy Mass across the street from Planned Parenthood. 7155 E 38th Ave Denver 80207
The Knights of Columbus have organized a Mass at 10:00 am on the third Friday of every month for the next year! Everyone is invited – please spread the word! We will pray the Rosary after Mass. If you’d like to carpool, please meet at Risen Christ parking lot at 9:10 am.

October 3rd: First Saturday Holy Rosary for Life. Join the Knights and faithful prayer heroes after the 8:30 Mass in this special devotion at the Mary alcove. Thank you to all who come so faithfully!

October 3rd and 4th: Baby Shower to benefit Catholic Charities Marisol services! Please bring new, unwrapped baby items to Risen Christ on this weekend; large boxes will be at the entrances before and after all Masses. Thank you so much for these much-needed gifts to welcome a child and support families.

40 Days for Life Fall Campaign:  September 23- November 1. Prayer vigils are held at abortion facilities around the world. We can pray This is a powerful time to reach out to those who are struggling and in danger of choosing abortion for their baby. Our prayerful loving presence makes such a difference! In August, while we were praying, a car pulled into the parking lot, then stopped, circled back, and spoke with the sidewalk counselors. They then drove over to Marisol instead! This has happened before, and it’s so encouraging!
We’re coordinating with Respect Life groups from other parishes to join and pray together at various abortion clinics in the area.

Senior Ministry

The purpose of the Senior Ministry is to provide a spiritual and social community for the seniors (55+) in our parish.

The next senior ministry function is:

SENIOR MINISTRY LUNCH

Wed. October 21, 1 p.m.

Guest speaker:

All parishioners 55 and older are invited to join us for our quarterly senior ministry lunch. Cost is $18.

Special Needs Support Group

The special needs support group at Risen Christ Catholic Parish provides support and acceptance while also sharing our faith together. Monthly meetings are held from Oct. – April, on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the senior room. Children are welcome.

Young Adults

Young adults in the parish (in their 20’s and 30’s) are invited to join our Young Adult Flocknote email group, to stay informed on upcoming bbq’s and other events, designed to connect our young adult parishioners to one another.

Serra

International

Serra International seeks to foster new vocations to the ministerial priesthood and to all consecrated religious life, to support and affirm existing religious vocations, and to further Catholicism by encouraging its members, in fellowship and through education, to fulfill their Christian vocation to service. Meetings are monthly at the parish Emmaus Center.  Contact the parish office for more information.
