CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL BLOOD BUS AT RISEN CHRIST

You have it in you to give. Literally.

The need for blood grows every day, so the kids we care for at Children’s Hospital need your help. And your family’s help. And your friend’s help. Share this message and sign up. It’s easier than you think. Plus, when you give blood to Children’s Hospital Colorado, it goes straight to the patients in our care.

Just one blood donation can make a difference for up to five children. The Blood Bus will be parked in the Risen Christ parking lot outside of the Emmaus Center on Friday, May 29. The blood drive process, including paperwork, takes between 30 and 45 minutes.

Cleaning Supply Drive for Catholic Charities Affordable Housing
Support residents in Catholic Charities’ Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) programs by donating new cleaning supplies! PSH provides safe, stable housing combined with supportive services for individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness or significant barriers to housing. These efforts are paired with Life Skills programming that empowers residents to build routines, care for their homes, and work toward greater independence. Your donations help create a clean and dignified living environment as residents move toward long-term stability. 

What is Permanent Supportive Housing?
Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is a proven solution that combines affordable housing with on-site support services for individuals and families facing chronic homelessness or complex housing challenges. In addition to case management, PSH residents have access to mental health resources, job readiness support, and Life Skills programming—all designed to promote long-term housing stability and personal growth.

Baby Shower Drive

Our Respect Life Ministry is hosting a Baby Shower, and you’re invited!  We are collecting items to make layettes for new mothers.  Bring your donations to the collection boxes in the vestibules.

Coat Drive

Donate new and gently-used coats for Haven For Hope, which serves as a resource center for people experiencing homelessness in Denver.  Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.

Bring your donations to the nursery in the Emmaus Center. Because of limited space in our Emmaus Center,  we can only accept donations on the actual dates of the collection.

ANGEL TREE

THANK YOU TO OUR ANGEL TREE DONORS

With your generous contributions, we were able to provide gift cards for needy students at Annunciation, St. Rose of Lima, and St. James Catholic Schools, low-income residents of Holly Heights Care Facility, members of our Myanmar community, our parish outreach community, and residents at Marisol’s women’s and family shelters. You donated over 800 gift cards!

Our annual Angel Tree program provides Christmas gifts for three low-income Catholic schools, two low-income nursing homes, Risen Christ parishioners in need, and Marisol’s women’s home.  We are collecting $25 gift cards to Walmart and Target.  We are hoping to collect 500 gift cards. For your convenience, you can donate online to our gift card fund, and we will buy the gift cards.

Homeless “Blessing Bag” Drive

Feb. 28 – Mar. 1,  2026

Our RE program is running a Lenten service project of making blessing bags for people experiencing homelessness. Our classes will assemble the bags and distribute the completed bags to RE families to give out when they encounter someone on the streets. Blessing bags will also be given to Christ in the City to distribute as part of their ministry. Help them by donating items to go into the blessing bags. Bring items to the collection boxes in the vestibules on the weekend of Feb. 28 – Mar. 1. For a list of requested items, click here.

Diaper Drive

May 9 – 10, 2026

Donate diapers for Marisol Family, the Catholic Charities program that offers assistance to Colorado families.  Large size diapers and pull-ups are the most-requested items!
