JUNE 9

CHRIST IN THE CITY MEAL PREPARATION

Tues. June 9
Help to feed the homeless! Volunteers from the parish are needed to bake a meal (recipe provided) that will be served by Christ in the City.  Prepared meals can be dropped off at the refrigerator in our parish kitchen on Tuesday. To volunteer, join our Christ in the City Flocknote email group.

JUNE 11

FOOD BANK OF THE ROCKIES

Thur. June 11, 2 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to unload the truck from Food Bank of the Rockies, pre-box the food for our guests, then distribute the food with our drive-through process. We’ll need about 30 volunteers. To volunteer, email parishinfo@risenchristchurch.org.

JUNE 19 - 27

WRITE CARDS TO OUR HOMEBOUND AND NURSING HOME PARISHIONERS

June 19 – 27
Help us to write cards to our parishioners who are homebound or are in nursing homes. Pick up a packet of ten cards with instructions from the ushers’ room in the church, and return NO LATER THAN Monday, June 27.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

VBS is coming June 22-26!
We need at least 20 volunteers to help make this year’s VBS a success! Please sign up below for any area you are interested in helping with.

JULY 24 - 26

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

To serve meals for the 800+ attendees at the Annual National Conference of Burmese American Catholics, July 24 – 26.  The food will be prepared and brought over to Hinkley High School in Aurora. Volunteers are needed to help box up the meals and distribute them as the conference attendees come through the food line.  Volunteers are needed on Friday, July 24 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Saturday, July 25 at 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, July 26, at 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

AUGUST 4

VOLUNTEER FOR “TRIUMPH OF THE HEART: THE MAXIMILIAN KOLBE MOVIE”

Tuesday, August 4, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to serve popcorn and lemonade at the screening of “Triumph of the Heart: the Maximilian Kolbe Story”. St. Maximilian Kolbe was a Catholic priest in Auschwitz who gave up his life for another prisoner. We will be showing the movie in the John Paul II Seminar Room.
Volunteers are needed to serve lemonade and to microwave popcorn and put it into individual popcorn bags.
