MARCH 1

HOMELESS “BLESSING BAG” DRIVE

Feb. 28 – Mar. 1
Our RE program is running a Lenten service project of making blessing bags for people experiencing homelessness. Our classes will assemble the bags and distribute the completed bags to RE families to give out when they encounter someone on the streets. Blessing bags will also be given to Christ in the City to distribute as part of their ministry. Help them by donating items to go into the blessing bags. Bring items to the collection boxes in the vestibules on the weekend of Feb. 28 – Mar. 1. For a list of requested items, click here.

MARCH 10

CHRIST IN THE CITY MEAL PREPARATION

Tues. Mar. 10
Help to feed the homeless! Volunteers from the parish are needed to bake a meal (recipe provided) that will be served by Christ in the City.  Prepared meals can be dropped off at the refrigerator in our parish kitchen on Tuesday. To volunteer, join our Christ in the City Flocknote email group.

MARCH 12

FOOD BANK OF THE ROCKIES

Thur. Mar. 12, 2 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to unload the truck from Food Bank of the Rockies, pre-box the food for our guests, then distribute the food with our drive-through process. We’ll need about 30 volunteers. To volunteer, email parishinfo@risenchristchurch.org.

MARCH 13

EASTER CARDS FOR NURSING HOME AND HOMEBOUND PARISHIONERS

Mar. 13 – 29
Packets of Easter cards will be available in the usher’s closet in church beginning March 13.  Please write the cards as directed, and return them to the usher’s closet by March 29. Our ministers who take Holy Communion to the nursing homes will deliver them during Holy Week.

MARCH 21

EASTER TREAT BAG SERVICE PROJECT

Mar. 21, 9:30 a.m.
Help us make Easter treat bags for residents of Holly Heights and Rowan nursing homes.  This is a great project for families with small children.  Please bring individually-wrapped Easter candy, and help us assemble the treat bags.
We will also be preparing the individual candles for the Easter Vigil Mass.
