BAPTISM

“Jesus answered him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5)

ခရစ္စမား အားပေးခြင်း စက္ကရန့်မင်တူး

CONFIRMATION

“Then suddenly a sound like a storm came from heaven and filled the house where they lived. In that moment, different tongues appeared like tongues of fire and rested on each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in different languages ​​as the Spirit gave them the opportunity to speak” (Acts 2:2-4) )

HOLY EUCHARIST

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.” (John 6:51)

RECONCILIATION

“I will also give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)

ANOINTING OF THE SICK

“If there is a sick person, call the chief monk, and let them, in the name of the Lord, anoint the patient with oil and pray over him. If this is done, the prayer of faith will save the patient and the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will forgive that sin.” (James 5:14-15)

The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is administered to the dying as well as to those who are gravely ill or about to undergo a serious operation. This sacrament of mercy and healing offers prayers for the recovery, but its primary intention is to give spiritual strength and calm the soul of the one suffering from illness.

Please call the parish office at 303-758-8826 or send an email to parishinfo@risenchristchurch.org if someone is ill or hospitalized and would like to be anointed. If this is an anointing emergency for a parishioner in a local hospital, please have hospital staff contact the spiritual care staff.

Anointing is not to be delayed to the last minute. A person who has been anointed once does not need to be anointed again within the same illness. It is also important for someone who is anointed to be prepared to go to confession when the priest arrives (if they are able).

HOLY MATRIMONY

“They are no longer two, but one. What God has joined together, let no man put asunder” (Matthew 19:5).

The sacrament of marriage is one that brings great blessings to the couple, to their family and friends, and the Church as a whole.
