Visit our parish Facebook page every Monday morning, for a prayer to Mary.
For the last several months, our parish has been focused on Mary. We have studied Catholic teaching on Mary, explored the Marian apparitions, deepened our understanding of the Rosary, and learned from Mary’s YES to the Lord. Now, we are inviting everyone to make a consecration to Jesus through Mary! And we’re offering a small group book study!
I first consecrated myself to Mary when I was a sophomore in college trying to discern God’s will in my life. And then… I joined the seminary the next year! Mary’s prayers were powerful in my life!
This idea of consecrating oneself to Mary may sound strange, but it really just means that we are committed to imitating her love for the Lord and asking for her prayers in our life. She’s a great intercessor because nobody has ever been more perfectly united to the will of God. So if we want to follow God’s will too, we can learn from her and entrust ourselves to her intercession and guidance! (More info on Marian consecration in this good article from Busted Halo – HERE).
THE CONSECRATION
We are inviting everyone to do a consecration to Mary on December 9th, either at home or at one of our Masses that day.
-To prepare for the consecration, we encourage all parishioners to purchase and read the book33 Days to Morning Gloryby Fr. Michael Gaitley.
-Start reading the book on Wednesday November 6th to fulfill the 33 days preparation by December 9th.
THE BOOK STUDY & SMALL GROUPS
For those who are interested in hearing presentations on the book and discussing the book with others, we’re offering the following:
1) A “Welcome” night for small groups on Monday November 4th at 6:30pm. This is a chance to meet your group before starting the book.
2) Weekly presentations by me on the current section of the book. This will be at 6:30pm on Mondays, November 11, 18, 25, and December 2.
3) Small group break-outs (same group each week) will happen each Monday after my presentations.

We will do a consecration to Mary at all of our Masses on Monday December 9th (6:30am, 8:00am, 12:15pm, 6:30pm). That is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception this year, and it is a holy day of obligation. For those who cannot attend any of the Masses that day, we encourage making the consecration at home.
Please join us for this parish-wide consecration to Jesus through Mary!
